Art enthusiasts that want to develop their talents, make new friendships
and broaden their horizons, we warmly and enthusiastically welcome you!
Membership at the Quincy Art Association offers a wide selection of
discounted classes and workshops to interest all levels and age groups.
Also, monthly meetings featuring well-known artists demonstrating their
various techniques in a variety of mediums, museum trips, juried art
shows, student art shows, on-going exhibits of members' works, holiday
socials, class discounts, special workshops, member discounts at local
art stores, art sales, and much, much more.
Members Meetings
Our monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month...September
through May at 7:30 p.m. at the QAA building. Members and non-members
alike are welcome. We begin with a brief open meeting session and encourage
member's input, then move to a fabulous art demonstration by a celebrated
artist. Refreshments served.
Course Offerings
QAA offers adult and children's classes three times a year. Among the
courses we offer:drawing, painting, watercolor, oil, pastel, acrylic,
ceramics and an extensive clay program. Subjects: indoor and outdoor
landscapes, figure drawing & painting, life drawing, painting techniques,
ceramics, clay and tile making.
Exhibits
QAA conducts three major exhibits a year: Quincy Arts Fest (juried show),
Quincy's First Night Event and Arts Affair on the Boardwalk at Marina
Bay. QAA retains 25% commission on all sales. QAA accepts all fine art
media including photography
Discounts
To receive a Member's discount for a course, your membership must be
current throughout the semester of the course you are taking. Membership
dues may be paid at the time of registration.
