to one's observational skills. Being able to see the basic structure
of all objects is the first step. Composition, value studies, line,
texture and color will broaden their understanding of the drawing process.
This class can accommodate both beginner and intermediate levels with

in natural clay figure sculpture will be offered to include armature
preparation, proportioning, anatomical reference, discussion of the
lessons of the treat masters, step by step demonstrations, and finishing
a piece for exhibit |

Learn how to make an accurate sculpture portrait likeness from natural clay! Sculpting from a live model and a planar representation of the head, the process of attaining a 3 dimensional likeness will be demonstrated and practiced. Each artist will end up with his own life size portrait head of the model. We will prepare each piece for firing in a kiln. Patina and surface treatment will be discussed. Take this class first then try your own grandchildren or your own version of Mt. Rushmore. For all ability levels. |
